Applications
Quasar® 670WS (Q670WS) is useful in fluorescence microscopy and flow cytometry as well as high-throughput screening applications in both TR-FRET and Fluorescence Polarization (FP) formats. It can easily be substituted for allophycocyanin (APC), Cy5, Alexa Fluor 647, and other similar dyes.
Characteristics
The unique structure modifications of Q670WS make this dye more more water soluble than other organic small molecule dyes, such as Cy5. This increased water solubility results in conjugates that produce less background than other organic dye conjugates and have a longer shelf-life. The molecular weight of Q670WS is 753.71 Daltons.
